  1. make the autocomplete and dropdown fully interchangeable fields

    Imagine a dropdown list with 2500 items. Finding proper value is challenging. The Autocomplete field is the best fit for this use case, but it does not currently work when the field is a foreign key.

    The dropdown list has "field for display" and "field for value". However, autocomplete lacks the "field for display" parameter. So, currently, on the initial load of the data page, it shows the "field for value" (the ID field, in my case, not the value that users should see).

    It would be great to add "field for display" and make autocomplete and dropdown fully interchangeable.

  2. Conditional Forms (Rules) add Disable Form Submission feature

    Hi,

    I think it is best if we can add a Rule in Conditional Forms that disables form submissions when a certain criteria is met.

    Right now, we can only do this in JavaScript which seems to be a standard requirement for this platform.

  5. SQL distinct for views

    Add a distinct records option to views. I'm aware of the requests at the report level, some / most of that need could be resolved if we could base that report on a view that has a "SELECT DISTINCT" enabled. Should be easy to implement?

  6. calendar

    Calendar Start & Finish Date. Two things. First, I think it would be awesome to have two date fields to choose from such as a "Start Date" and "Finish Date". (Time would also be great). And then display the event across the dates.

    Second, I think it would be nice to be able to adjust the day-of-week start day for week view. That way one could create an event that ran from Thursday to Tuesday with Thursday being the first displayed day.

    Support linkedin as a social login too, like gmail, twitter etc. Also support the use of gathered linkedin data

  9. File submission renaming

    There should be a way for files to be renamed upon submission based on a field value. For example, the autonumber or field id could become appended to the file name as a prefix.

    This way when files are bulk downloaded it would be clear which record they were part of.

  11. Option to create Formulas inside Views.

    For example:
    I have Users and Roles tables. One to may relationship from Roles to Users but I would like to have a dropdown that reads Username (Role) but that is not possible unless we could have the ability to create Formulas in our views.

    I think this will increase usability a lot.

  12. Larger working area in wizards

    After a couple hours building a form, the size of the wizards starts to feel ridiculously small, specifically the Configure Fields/DataPage Elements section. I'd really like to be able to expand this box.

    Even better, it would be nice to have a larger editor that is NOT a wizard. I would like to be able to jump between sections frequently.

    Can you introduce a WYSIWYG DataPage Editor in design mode where you can drag and drop elements: like views, reports, charts, geomaps, butttons, virtual groupby totals, images, text, etc.. in the header, footer and content area, incl. interactions between the elements.

  15. Receive Email Notification when task fails

    I would love to see an option where we can receive an email notification to our email of choice if a Task or Scheduled Tasks fails. My organization uses several tasks that are vital to our functioning, and sometimes these tasks fail to run. Since I am not on Caspio every day, it would be nice to receive an email or SMS alert each time a vital tasks fails, so I can quickly fix it.

  16. Provide clearer instructions on how to change styles to improve the look of datapages

    It would be very useful to have some clear instructions on how to improve the look of datapages: something that highlights exactly what each datapage element does with cross-referencing screenshots, because this is not abundantly clear right now.

  18. Allow copy, cut and paste of task/triggered action elements

    You might build a task and find you wish to use it as a triggered action instead - or vice versa.

    Currently you have to rebuild from scratch....where if you could copy and paste the different logic sections it would speed up the process

  19. Ajax posting of DataPage

    so we don't have to exit and re-enter to view changes and make small adjustments. Would love to have been able to stay where I am, make a change, view the effects and then continue on. I've wasted hours re-entering Datapages to get right back where I was....scrolling down a list and re-opening .....

  20. Share user's app templates on a community forum

    Create a community where users can post exported zip files of apps they have built (without data) so other users can install and customize those apps for their own use. Other cloud services allow this kind of template sharing and it can be a huge timesaver
