Freeze first column in a table
I'd like to be able to "freeze" the first column in a table, so that as I scroll across the table, I can always see the first column (which indicates the name of the record).
Sometimes we have a lot of editing to do, and it's easiest to do it in the table. And sometimes, we want to copy the same info into a field for several records. But since we can't see the "Names" of the records (that are in the first column) as we scroll across, we can't accurately past info into the fields. If we could freeze the first column, it would be tremendously easier.

This has not been completed. You implemented this for datapages, but it has not been implemented for TABLES. How do I get you to reconsider it?

Could I get an update on this? This was my idea and it was marked "Completed" in error. Could it be corrected so that people can see that it has not been completed? Thanks.

Hi. I submitted this idea in 2013, however I think you misunderstood it. I was referring to data TABLES, not to datapages. When setting up a new app, or importing data, it is useful to work with the data in the table, to get ready to build datapages. However, it's very difficult to do that when you start scrolling across, because you can't see the first column (which usually contains the unique information that shows what record it is). I would like to be able to freeze the first column in a TABLE so that I can edit data in tables. Could you mark this idea as not completed, or open it back up somehow? It looks like other people voted on it too. Thanks.

The link you provided does not address freezing columns in tables, only DataPages.

There is another idea that is essentially the same as this one. See "Create a Table Report Style that would allow the table headers to freeze."
