Allow to use semicolon as field delimiter when importing files1 vote
Deleting duplicates in a table requires a filter and checkbox deletion by hand. Updates can only be made outside of Caspio and re-imported. These basic execution SQL functions should be enabled in some form other than imports.
Especially with big data, using imports to update and delete tables is tedious at best and unachievable at worst.2 votes
The filtering logic for views is great. Adding pivot tables in views would allow pivot tables to be exported, referenced or accessed via API.2 votes
would be nice to have an option to move a record from a table to another.
In my case for example, when I want to blacklist a record I have on my table, I move it to a Blacklist table to then make sure with a view between the two tables that the blacklisted company is not registered again in the first table.
Right now we need to export/download the data, delete the record in the first table, then import it on the new table, quite time consuming.1 vote
In most cases, large and/or complex applications built on multiple data pages, views and tables etc. While building such applications also creates multitude of waste such as redundant data pages, tables, views etc.
In my opinion It would be good to have a function to colour code data pages, views, tables etc. to have a quick reference point on what is okay and not okay to delete. What data pages, views, tables are redundant in the process an what aren't!2 votes
How do I get Caspio to search two separate tables and report identical information found in both?1 vote
If you use importing to get data into a table you can't interact with the data without manual intervention. That defeats the purpose of automatic importing or importing at al really.4 votes
Be able to download reports with spaces in column names. For example "Event Date" instead of "Event_Date". Sometimes this is required.1 vote
Many-to-Many relationships are powerful for many reasons; in particular action items that have many users that interact with them.
Please consider this scenario:
A report to display all three users would be very useful, and an easy approach (easy from our end, IDK what this would require from your end) would be to use three User table views as a source for the view that would be the source for the report.
viewUserCreator, viewUserAssigned, viewUserCompleter, tblActionLog -> sources for viewActionLogReport
Thanks for your consideration
Add order by to views... it's especially important when views are used for automated exports and emails.5 votes
Should be easy to add I would have thought and would really help us in managing our apps. Seems odd that there is no property feature for file folders as there is with datapages, tables etc.1 vote
Conitional formating of the fields, such as if a field is greater than 5, the background would turn red0 votes
Have the ability to download the table preoperties like fields, records, size, last modified etc. or datapage properties. This is available when you click on datapages or tables, but it would be nice to have it downloadable.5 votes
It would be great to see the results of the relationship created before clicking save.1 vote
It would be great to be able to build views based on effective dated tables.
EmployeeID EffectiveDate Change
A 10-12-2010 ABCD
A 10-1-2011 jkebfbe
B 1-1-2011 lwqfwf
B 4-9-2012 kefkhk
C 5-3-2012 hkvhkg
I have no way to build a view that gives me the current rows for A, B and C1 vote
Provide a listing of all locations of fields that if deleted from tables will cause dependent Datapages/Views to become unstable.
When trying to delete unused fields from a table, if they show up ANYWHERE in any datapage or view the system gives a warning that proceeding with the deletion may cause instability. It takes LONG time to go into each possible datapage and and view to try to locate where you've got those fields and delete them so they don't cause this problem. Since the system found them well enough to tell you they exist, why can't the system provide you a list of there they are located so you can find them easily, too???2 votes
I have a table showing in my application that is not used in the application. It has a connection to a table that is used in the application.
Another solution would be having folders to organize tables with.0 votes
While this is available to the admin/back end users, I suggest to have a data from the file to be added to different fields in the Caspio table by the end-users.1 vote
