Create an autonumber field that will use a prefix, such as Proj100
Autonumbering with a alphanumeric prefix would be a nice feature.

Hello, Actually I need to have this prefix taken from a field. For example when I create a report, this report need to have the prefix of the related project.
Example:
The first record of NCR table (non conformances reports), within the project PRJ3 (a selectable field in the submit page) will generate a NCR-PRJ-001, and then NCR-PRJ-002...
