    An alternative would be to have a field that marks a record as "non-live". This will allow you to stop it appearing in reports etc. but the original record would still be there until you run a separate process to delete "non-live" records.

    I would have thought you could create a report datapage with no authentication, the filters you think they need and with no ability to update. Once created, you can simply deploy and give your users the link
