View PDF saved in Table on Datapage
We need a way to display PDFs that are uploaded into a file field in our tables. The ability to display a PDF that a user uploaded on a page is critical.
There is a similar post that is marked Completed, but there still is no way to show sensitive PDFs that are saved to your Caspio tables. Their 'solution' is to use FileStor, but they tell you that you can only use non-sensitive materials for this.
We are almost in 2023 and I have to ask for this...

SysDateTime in Formula fields
I understand that currently the SysDateTime function is not available in formula fields. It would be great if this could be supported for calculating time differences at the table level between start dates and now.

System Parameter - Timestamp
When I submit or update a record and use the System Timestamp paramente in the datapage to track when then action was performed, currently the time is set after the datapage is open.
However, the time between the datapage loading action and the form is actually submitted by the user might be different. It would be useful if this timestamp parameter is set when the form is successfully submitted too.

nest app parameters
Two strings that would get used many places such as
[@app:copyright] = "(c) Copyright 2021"
[@app:companyname] = "Squaretree Software"
Can be used as [@app:copyright] [@app:company_name]
but since company name would always be used in the copyright string and the copyright string might need occasional updates such as changing the date it would be great to be able to do:
[@app:copyright]="(c) copyright 2021 @app:companyname]"
The workaround is pretty easy in this case but there may be others where this nesting would be very valuable and I would think, a pretty easy enhancement.3 votes -
Format Negative Numbers with Red Font
Caspio needs to modify the Format area where Numbers are formated for each Text field to allow the developers to select a Font color (the default should be RED: #FF0000) for Negative numbers. This is a standard accounting practice. This shouldn't be too hard since the (-) sign is already being associated with the number.
Right now, you have to jump through hoops and then code on every data page (the code being slightly different based on the type of page). The current solution is not documented anywhere. It took me a week and a half on the Forum to…

Allow signatures fields to be mapped to an image field in PDF Generation
If we could include the signature or even an image file inside the PDF Generator the functionality of the generator would be much for inclusive and work in so many more use cases

Make meaningful error codes in Tasks and Triggered events
When a task fails, the provided error code is pretty worthless, as it does not give any indication as to why the task failed, or what element it failed on. Even if we co9uld turn on temporary Debug logging on a task so we could see the progress and where it stopped would be really helpful.

Develop a means to replicate a submission datapage in the reports details page
It is very good to have reports details datapage to update the data in previous submission. This often requires re-creating the submission datapage to facilitate the update.
It would be good to have a means to replicate the submission datapage for the report details datapage without having to go through the tedious task of recreating the whole page one field at a time.1 vote -
Organize tables via Folders
I think it will be a good idea to have an option to create folder in tables.
In this way it will be easier to manage, sort, find and organize tables inside Caspio.9 votes -
Show differences between two apps
Make secure changes to a production app can be done duplicating such app in a staging app and test on it required chenges. But then is quite impossible to remember all changes done.
It would be useful to have a kind of compare betwee apps that highlight their differences into datapages, tables, views and triggers.2 votes -
Update Standard Caspio Calendars
Calendar Datapages are incredibly outdated. They only take 1 date, cannot span multiple dates, require extensive javascript to color code alike events, I could go on for quite a while. There hasn't been any changes to Calendars in my entire time using Caspio.
It seems if you want anything that looks like it came from this decade, you need to pay for App Extensions, which is outrageously expensive.
It would be nice to have standard features, that are free, to be upgraded once in a while, and I believe Calendars should be next in line.

Color coding table relationships would make visualizing much easier to follow

Enable offline data gathering to be uploaded once an internet connection can be established
This is an issue for us because there are occasions where the client prohibits internet access. A good example is Government buildings such as prisons, hospitals, law courts or Ministry of Defence buildings.

Allow Logic on FROM field for Email Notifications
Currently you cannot use any logic on the FROM field for Send Email triggers. You have to select your email from the dropdown for each trigger you build. We have hundreds of employees using our submission forms which means I would have to build hundreds of triggers to handle each unique FROM email. If that field allowed Logic, we could use build one trigger and just code it to pull an email address.

Create a simplified way to change the default text of the standard "View Details" function.
When using a a "Details Page" for each record in a tabular view, the default text is set to "View Details". I can change that in the CSS, but it is very complicated to create the right text per page. Some pages I would like it to say "View Details", but others I would like it to say "Edit Details" or "Update".
It would be nice to have a way to very simply change the default display text locally to a DataPage.
Alternatively, if you would allow the Details Page to be linked to an HTML "Specific Data Field" that…

Add Formatting Setting by Text fields in DataPages - submission form
If you have a Text field in a DataPage - submission form and you to use it for entering an currency, you can't formatting settings. While this field in the table does have the correct DataType.
If you have a form element 'Calculated Value', then is the formatting settings is available.
There is a workaround solution in an JavaScript but you make it quite complicated. I do believe that for something so simple, this must be standard functionality.
For using percentage is this more or less the same issue.

OneDrive as "Save to folder" location
If would be nice to save all type of files upload by users onto cloud storage space like OneDrive (etc) under "Save to folder"
We use SharePoint fully and having the files directly linked to OneDrive would be a time saver.
