It's much looked for in our case where among hundred of users who choose to ignore the calendar popup option and rather manually key in dates in whichever way they wish such as: 09-Aug-2019, 9/8/19, 9/Aug/2019 etc. leaving us with the extra task of data cleansing and to be honest, making the calendar popup rather redundant.
In addition, if there is a display only checkbox for date and time field to ensure user are unable to manually enter any format of date they wish to and get the dates that caspio can read for further formula applications.
So far, in our case, we choose to avoid the calendar popup and provide user with the drop down option of 1-31 in a new date field, 1-12 in month field and finally left the year field open for manual entry. At least this provides us the date in a much close number format which we can later concatenate.

Another point, the date and time field offer formatting option in "display only" mode. This option should be made available in the "Text Field" mode also to distinguish when we are setting a date field and when we are setting a field as time field.
e.g. We are requesting for guests to inform us about their flight arrival date and time. Now in dataforms we do not see this option in text field mode.
