1. Create a combination single record update and submission datapage

   I would like to see a feature that essentially allows for one form to be both a single record update and submission datapage simultaneously. The practical use for this type of datapage would be edit an existing record based on a unique ID and if it does not exist, create it.

   For customer (and even employee) facing applications, simplicity is key. One datapage that would look up to see if they have a record in a particular table to allow them to edit its contents and if not create one would be quite useful. I imagine other caspio users could find plenty of other unique ways in which this could be helpful.

2. duplicates

   Enable duplicates searches in datapages as is now possible directly from Views or Tables.
   At present the mod is there to look for duplicates by interrogating the tables manuals but it is not possible to have a Datpage for regular use to see the same results.

   I have a datapage that uploads images and another that displays them. My customer loves it. They now wish to download images. It would be a great improvement for them if they could download images.

4. System timestamp should follow Rules

   When a field is set to receive a system parameter of timestamp
   and
   a Rule is created to disable the timestamp field if it is not empty
   then
   the "disabled" field should not get a new timestamp when the record is updated

   Currently, if a field is set to get a timestamp, there is no way to use a Rule to create a condition for this behavior: the field will always get timestamped.

   I want to let people update records and timestamp them, but if they update a record twice, I want to hold on to the original timestamp instead of overwriting it.

5. Reminders calendar datapage

   Create a datapage that enables the user to set reminders for a particular date and when these reminders show up on the calendar view. Goals would be to have an event on a date and then be able to set up unlimited reminders for that event that can all be told to display or not display on a particular date in the calendar. This would allow for pre-event tasks to be scheduled as well as post event tasks and they would all be tied to the event for good record keeping down the road. Currently we can tell a field to display or not display & to accomplish this quickly, it would be great to have an option to tell the field when to start & end display plus give the user the option to "check" a box when completed so it doesn't need to display anymore. The long term fix here would be to add multiple reminders to a current field in a datapage + give the reminder display options such as when to start, when to stop & criteria to stop if prior to the stop date.

6. Subscription enabled calendars - iCal, ics etc

   More advanced features for calendars would be great.
   One idea (I can't seem to figure out how to do it) is to enable calendars to be subscribed to, or create a .ics file.

7. Deny specific words to fields

   People are sometimes submitting our forms by giving Donald Duck as their name field value. I think it would it be a good idea to be able pre-moderate some of these most common "false for sure" values.

   I have tried to solve this with rules but fields that I need to control are required. It seems like I can't disable users to execute their form in anyway.

8. calendar

   It would be extremely helpful to be able to put records with several different date fields on a single Calendar.

   For example, a table has fields for ‘DateCreated', ShipDate', and ‘Received_Date'. I need to have a single calendar that puts each of these dates (if there is a value in that field) using another field's value (‘Description’ in this case, to identify the calendar ‘even't) in the same calendar.

   For example. A record in this table with a Field:Description value of 'Oushak Rug' could have:

   DateCreated: 05/01/15
   ShipDate: 07/06/15
   Finish_Date: 09/03/15

   I need the value 'Oushak Rug' to show up 3 times on the calendar, once for each date, along with a label, so it makes sense, like:

   In the 5/01/15 box of the calendar: Oushak Rug- Item Created
   In the 07/06/15 box of the calendar:Oushak Rug- Est. Ship
   In the 09/03/15 box of the calendar:Oushak Rug- Est. Receive

   The labels would be based on the date field name the date was taken from. It really doesn't help to have to have several Calendars, one for each kind of date field as that's a very clunky UI. This would really help on apps that are very calendar-heavy.

    Can u make an html editor in the email created from email links?
    Same with automatic emails.

11. Add an async form processing option that allows a background datapage (or chain) and parameter cascade to act like a trigger

    Right now, the system has what I would call "Foreground Datapages" - they are sequentially accessed in full view of the client.

    I'd like to see the addition of "Background Datapages" - these are asynchronous pages that must start with a Foreground Datapage as a destination, can chain to however many background datapages one wishes to chain, and then returns a Foreground Datapage destination with parameters to navigate to.

    This would alleviate the javascript cludge required to use a single datapage form to update multiple tables, improve the user experience of working with these forms, and simulate the activity of certain kinds of triggers (which right now are not possible in caspio).

14. include more than one field in grouping headers

    When grouping, only the field that is selected for grouping is displayed in "header". However, other fields are available to display in the header of the group that are common to the grouping field. E.g. Car repair/services. A service is needed on a car. The car name is used for grouping, but also the model, year, color, VIN are also attributes of the car, rather then service. The various services are displayed under each car. In the current set up, only one of the car-related fields, model, would be in the header. It would be nice to have model, year, color, VIN in the header, and then only the service (with service related fields such as date, repair shop, description) shown under each header.

    The rule list allows only one action per item. For example, if I have a column for transaction type (Field = TransType) and the options available for this field using dropdown menu are "Cash", "Bank Transfer", "USD Cheque" and "HKD Cheque". Then, lets say I have a field named "Cheque#" which should be shown only if "USD Cheque" and "HKD Cheque" are selected as TransType.

    So I create a rule that if TransType = Cash, then hide "Cheque#". Then I want to add another rule that if TransType = Bank Transfer, then again hide "Cheque#" but this time it won't let me select the field "Cheque#" as it has already been used once in the previous rule.

    Now in this particular example I know there are easy ways to solve the problem, that is by creating one rule for both "Cash" and "Bank Transfer" fields together and then hide the "Cheque#" field. But this is just one example I am trying to illustrate. When you want to construct little bit more complex forms then this becomes a shortcoming.

17. Loading GIF for 60+ seconds long Bulk Edits

    Bulk Edits are a great feature, but when Updating on a View, the process can take nearly a minute in my use case. I think a loading GIF on button press-Update-in Bulk Edit would help the user understand that the Update is processing.

    Until then, I am posting a message in the Bulk Edit form that states "Updates can take up to a minute to process."

19. Ability to insert/update pop up values to drop down boxes and REPOPULATE page

    Ability to insert/update pop up values to drop down boxes and list boxes and then repopulate only those page elements that were changed without refreshing the page and losing unsaved data. It is nice to have a modal pop up form to add a lookup value but sometimes those aren;t text fields like States but sometimes they have primary keys and our an autonumber so repopulating the form elements is important but doing so without losing page data on a reload.

20. Add a Title option to Field Options

    In addition to a Label and Hint a Title would be a nice feature.

    On the "Search and Report Wizard - Configure Details Page Fields" page under the "Standard" tab in "General Options" there is a field to add a label and under the "Advanced" tab in "Field Options" there is a field to add a hint.

    A field to add a title in the "Field Options" would be awesome. Hints are a slow, cumbersome, and ugly cousin of Titles.
