Code editing

I have finally given up on creating javascript and HTML code directly to the code editor window (CodeWindow.jpg). There is obviously no code error-checking, which is inconvenient but I think that would be difficult to feature (idk...). However, can we not have a monospace font that is standard of (all?) code editors out there? (ActualCode_Editor.jpg) And why can't the size of the code window be made bigger?

I don't think I'm asking for the world

    Also...... STANDARDIZED TABBING

    I'm sure you know how maddening it is to spacespacespacespacespacespacespacespacespacespacespacespacespacespace just to align some tags
