  1. Stacked bar chart

    I have built a system for resource management as best as I can within the standard options in Caspio bridge. What I really want to see is the option to use a stacked bar chart to display allocations for any unit with a start date and an end date. That means tahat the headings should be dynamic, and display day, week or month based on user selection. If only days are available, I can live with that.

  2. Fix tabular datapages that use inline insert drop downs

    Tabular datapages that have inline insert sometimes have dropdown menus that use an ID value to identify the lookup record- and shows the 'display value' so it's clear to the user what they're selecting.

    The problem is in the recordset of the datapage below, that column will show the - normally hidden- id value and not the display value. This makes the datapages with inline insert look awful and unusable because it's confusing (the user doesn't know what the id numbers are for, they're expecting to see the display values).

  3. Email Scheduler

    Would be great to have a datapage option that is an email scheduler...meaning the user would enter future emails into this datapage with a projected send date so the email will send automatically when that date/time comes up. This would enable the user to schedule reminder emails, task emails & other important emails that pull data from different tables and put it together for easy viewing. In a sense this would be an email generator datapage with date/time send capabilities. In my world of concerts, this would be very effective to remind bands, promoters, buyers and so on of things…

  4. Cannot Save Chart as Image

    Have datapages deployed as Graphs. Users want to export, print or merely save these graphs as images so that they can be used in other applications (such as including a graph in a presentation). However, when right-click the graph and save as image, the image is NOT exported. In fact, in IE an error is thrown. Only in Chrome can I get the Graph to print. It seems strange that simple Windows standard functionality is not supported. This is a poor implementation of this functionality for Graph DataPages within Caspio.   5. create a feature for bulk enablement of "deployed" on data pages

    • sophisticated apps have a large number of pages and the manual process of "turning on" the deployment of each page can become mistake-prone, once you take into account that some pages may be "WIP" and you don't want to always expose all pages to the web yet....

  6. CONCATENATE for a calculation field.

    It would be great if there was a possibility to use an access style Concentration in a calculation or merge field.

    '[@field:a]' & ' some text ' & '[@field:b]' & ' more custom text.

    There is a way to do this with stuff but it is a bit more complex.

    A little icing on the cake would be to make it more dynamic with if statements or case functions.

  7. Give users the ability to customize UPDATE button text

    It would be great to be able to change the text of the button at the bottom of datapages to better reflect their use or intention. This would be especially helpful when the destination is another datapage or step in the process (for example, rather than having it say "UPDATE", it would be nice to be able to change it to "Select Date" when taking them to a different page to perform another action. Or, more simply, "REGISTER" or "SUBMIT" would also be commonly used by me.

    Button text can be customized to any text you prefer under the Localization object. Edit the Localization objects used in your DataPage and select Button under Forms/Details Pages categories. Under this section, you will be able to update the text of any button in the form.

  10. add GLOBAL headers, footers and other sections

    Right now, we have to add navigation menus, and header and footer code, to every data page, individually. When changes are made, we have to go through each of these data pages to apply changes.

    When an application is as large as ours, this becomes too difficult and time-consuming to maintain, and makes the app prone to errors and inconsistencies.

    Additionally, we would like to be able to have these GLOBAL areas controlled via authentication and other criteria. This way, we could achieve different navigation menus for different user types.

  11. Multiple Select - Insert Record

    Allow a multi-select box when inserting records into a table on a dataform. Currently we have to use javascript to achieve this, however its very tedious.

    Example of how it works: A user is registering for an event. They may want to select multiple sessions to attend at the event.... Session A, Session B and Session C are available.

    The user could select Session A and Session C using a multi-select box, complete the registration, and then Submit the form, which will then insert the values into the tables.

  13. Use a WYSIWYG Html editor in Html box, head and footer

    Use a wysiwyg editor for the html box, header and footer, notification email and also for changing the style sheet. These days most online website, app and email production sites have WYSIWYG editor capabilities, like in WIX or in the email marketing program constant contact. It would make it much faster to put together really great looking pages

    It would be nice with a search field on top that lets you search for i.e. datapages, tables, views etc. regardless if you are in Home screen or inside a spesific app

  16. Allow custom formatting of tabular reports, particularly coulumn width

    Currently, columns in tabular reports are formatted automatically. The styles options only allow fixing column width for all colums equally. There should be a possibilty to define column width individually per column

  17. Require passwords to have special characters or numbers

    When a DataPage is authenticated,make the password field to be required and specify the way passwords are entered. For example, Password has to be 8 characters in length, with atleast one number and one special character.

  18. Calculations within a web form

    in our app we would like to automatically do ratios based on formulas of data entered by users.

    For instance a when a user inputs their monthly income and household size we can use a look up table to match the resources they have compared to the poverty level for their household size and give them a percentage.

    This is easy to accomplish in excel, but a pain in Caspio.

  19. Allow users to format "from" email

    Caspio should support formatting of email address in the "from" field of the auto-emails that are sent by datapages.

    It seems like I can only enter something like
    no-reply@abccompany.com

    I would like the email address to include the name.. Something like ABCcompany.com no-reply@abccompany.com

    This way, "ABCcompany.com" will be displayed in an email client instead of "no-reply" which can be mistaken (or might appear) to be spam.

    This is a standard feature implemented in all email clients and I'm surprised that its not yet supported in Caspio.

    Please add this support asap.

  20. Allow opening a datapage and a table at the same time in two windows - OR, save work without publishing.

    Sometimes I've done a lot of programming developing a new datapage and I need to refer to a table's contents before I proceed. As it is now, I need to close the datapage (resulting in a loss of all work unpublished) in order to open the table and then go back to the datapage to work on it. It seems it would be efficient if I could save my work or rename it while I'm in the file OR could open up a table to review while I'm working on a datapage.
