  1. A dropdown option to "add new"

Maybe more of a tutorial even... But the option in a drop-down to add a new value (which can be triggered to add to the lookup table or custom values)

  2. make the autocomplete and dropdown fully interchangeable fields

Imagine a dropdown list with 2500 items. Finding proper value is challenging. The Autocomplete field is the best fit for this use case, but it does not currently work when the field is a foreign key.

The dropdown list has "field for display" and "field for value". However, autocomplete lacks the "field for display" parameter. So, currently, on the initial load of the data page, it shows the "field for value" (the ID field, in my case, not the value that users should see).

It would be great to add "field for display" and make autocomplete and dropdown fully interchangeable.

  3. Conditional Dropdown; 2+ sources for dropdown list

It would be nice if we could have conditional dropdowns (not cascading) that will change the datasource/value list depending on the value of a Parent element.

In example, if the Parent value was A, then the dropdown would list Group A values. Likewise, if the Parent value was B, then that same dropdown would now show Group B values.

  5. search

    Improved searching
When a user is searching for a word within a text field, any word with those characters in order is returned.

For example, looking for all references to the word ear, results with "tear" and "earth" are returned, resulting in excess results.

it would be helpful if quotation marks or adding space(s) would help reduce excess results.

  6. Update the Edit Style page

Trying to edit a Style from the Style tab is horrendous. When editing a Datapage Element, the middle section of the screen is 80% unused whitespace. The section where you select the Element Type is in a scrollable list that shows 3 options out of the 20+ available.

Anyone that has messed with Styles will understand. This thing is so cumbersome that I need to use the plain-text source page, which isn't even a code editor, just a notepad!

  7. Tabular Report Inline Insert without making all fields editable

At the moment, when trying to include Inline Add on the Results Page of a Tabular Report, if the fields in the report are not 'editable', you cannot enter in a value for that field in Inline Add.

It would be nice to be able to have access to all fields in Inline Add, but limit what fields can be edited for existing records Inline Edit.

For example, in my tabular report, I only want 1 out of the 10 fields to be editable. However, I also want to be able to add a new record from Inline Add and…

  8. Better visualization of created reports and charts, as well as comparative data, for example in reports of sales results.

Caspio is a good all-round platform for building all sorts of applications, but so many uses often mean better tools in one area of operation and worse in another. When something is good for everything, it's usually not good at anything. In my opinion, this is precisely the problem of Caspio.

We create analytical applications, create financial reports and advanced sales analytics in large retail chains.

After purchasing a Caspio subscription, it turned out that we cannot create similar applications that we create with MS Excel, PowerBI or Dynamix CRM. Caspio report generators lack tools enabling more advanced and professional…

  9. Calendar Report

Upon further checking, it seems that downloading your Calendar DataPage is not yet possible using Caspio's Standard Features. What we can do for you is to consult the Professional Services Team to check if this is possible using custom coding.

This, however, may incur a cost.

We strive to enhance Caspio Bridge platform feature sets so please suggest your desired features in our ideabox http://ideabox.caspio.com to communicate with our product team and for others to vote.

Please let us know how you wish to proceed.

  10. Gantt Chart as a Standard Feature

Gantt charts are used in a wide variety of cases and are very popular. It seems Caspio is taking advantage of this, leaving less used and desirable Chart Types as Standard options, and adding the Gantt chart to the premium 'App Extensions' list.

The minimum you need to pay for a Gantt Chart is $750, which I imagine is for the complete bare-bones version. We already pay enough every month for your services, I believe a Gantt Chart in the Standard selection of chart types is more than manageable.

Even if you were to leave the bare-bones stuff as standard,…

  12. View only until authenticated

It would be great if it was possible to make datapages where data was visible but could not be edited without authenticating. This would alleviate managing multiple very similar pages.

  13. Dynamic / Cascading Multi-Select Fields

We need dynamic/cascading Multi-Select Fields. It is really a pain that you need to hardtype the multi-select values on the table level.

If we could have a multiselect field use a lookup table, or have the option to be cascading to let the available values change depending on another field, would be so helpful.

In example, if I have a list of values for my Multi-Select ListBox, and I only want to show some of the values for Employees and all of the values for Admins, it would be sweet to cascade this listbox off of another value to get…

  14. Form builder like in MS Access database

It would be fantastic to have the same type interface for building custom forms and reports as you have when using MS Access. The drag and drop options, customizing format, adding buttons, multimedia, short code and the ability to export out as a PDF while utilizing database fields would make life 100% awesome.

  15. Add the ability to change the default class of specific elements on a datapage

Add the ability to change the default class of specific elements on a datapage
For instance I want an HTML block text on a page between 2 field entries. The "cbHTMLBlockContainer cbFormData" that are the class of an HTML block could be set in the user interface like a style for instance to "cbFormLabelCell cbFormLabel". I only want to do this on specific HTML blocks so changing the class attributes of cbHTMLBlockContainer cbFormData would not work as it would do All the HTML blocks.

  17. A place to enter in a custom Class Name, so that you can style specific fields.

It would be nice if there was a place in the Datapage Wizard where you could give a field a custom Class Name. This way we would be able to target it much easier in our own styling. Right now, you can go through styles and change things, but that change will affect all related elements.

  18. Add Previous Month to date filter

Adding the ability to filter by "Previous Month" or "Previous X Months" would be very useful for reporting. Currently you can filter by Previous X days, but I would like to exclude the results from this month and only show results for last or previous full month.

  19. Configure Filtering Fields calculated

Configure Filtering Fields section to allow use of Calculated fields that make use of external parameter inputs.

This would reduce some of the input parameters being passed since calculation can be done locally with more limited set of inputs.

  20. Proper HTML Source Code Editor

Can we get this? It's EXTREMELY Hard to edit the code especiall if it's a JavaScript Code. Not to mention the size of Edit Pages cannot be resized, it's so small and cramped.
